Zaro

The Zaro family was first mentioned in 1348. Their crest, also depicted in today’s Zaro sign, expresses a deep affinity for the hometown and love for the land and the vine. Respecting the natural features of the wine-growing region of Izola, we are reviving the tradition of viticulture and the original winemaking processes of Slovenian Istria.

Zaro wines are produced on selected locations and twenty hectares of vineyards, which were considered as the highest and most fertile in the area of Izola during the Venetian Republic, where nature has always given rich wines full of passion. Integrated processing creates wines with character that meet expectations of the greatest connoisseurs.
